The 2009 Festival took place from Thursday 7th to Saturday 16th May, inclusive. Thank you all for the many, many compliments received about the variety and quality of events in this years programme, its gorgeous location in Cornwall, the superb community events and the friendly, welcoming atmosphere throughout. Its no wonder that, last year, the Oldie magazine put the Du Maurier Festival as the second best Festival in Britain - which of course, means that its the Best Festival in England - with Hay being over the Welsh border .
